Retro Mya
A couple of days ago while I was in the kitchen cleaning I left Mya in the living room to watch a show. When I checked on her this is what I found.
I thought she looked so cute and so retro hippie with her 70's hairdo!

Mya-isms!
(Don' t you just love that crazy hair!!)
As I've posted before, Mya really loves to dance. If you ask her to "shake her booty" she will stick her bum out and wiggle it - it's very cute and funny and she always has the cutest little smirk on her face when she does it.
When she walks up the stairs she gets in her "ready stance" and then waits for you to say ready, set, go and then she tries to go up the stairs as fast as she can. Once she reaches the top she jumps up and down with her arms in the air and says "I did it!"
She loves it when you clap and cheer for her and tell her good job. She will always bow and say "shay shoo" or thank you in Mya. And sometimes she will even follow up the bow by blowing lots and lots of kisses - its so funny!
Some funny things she likes to say: "I stuh" for I'm stuck. I think she loves to pretend to be stuck just so she can say it.
She says "Oh, no" all the time and uses a really high voice when she says it - it's really cute.
She likes to use the word "it's" in front of everything. Like "it's dad" or "it's a ball."
Instead of saying yes she likes to use "yah" and shake her head.
We got her a new baby doll (Cabbage Patch newborn) and she loves it! She carries it around, pushes it in her baby doll stroller, takes its clothes off (she doesn't like it to have clothes on), gives it lots of kisses and she says the word baby like 500 times everyday.
If someone is lying down with their eyes closed she will put her finger to her lips and say "Shhhhh." (The other day when we were at Costco there was a mom pushing her tiny baby in a stroller and the baby was asleep. Mya looked at the baby and then at me and said "Shhhhhhh, baby seeping." It was so adorable!)
Mya has started to call me Mom-mom. It's so dang cute! She will say "yeah mom-mom" or "no mom-mom" and it just makes me smile every single time!
She will point at me and say "mom" or "its mom" then point at Brandon and say "dad" or "its dad" and then point to herself and say "baby" or "I the baby." I can't get her to say her name its always "baby."
She also loves to draw or color. She holds the pen/pencil/crayon so perfectly in her little fingers like she's a pro. I think she might be an artist in training!
She loves to sing. Her favorite songs right now are the Alphabet Song, The Wheels on the Bus, Popcorn Popping and Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid. I often find her singing by herself throughout the day.
We are working on her letters and numbers right now. She can count to 10 and sing the alphabet song with my help. We are trying to get her to recognize the letters and numbers. She already knows a few of them. She is currently obsessed with the letter B. I think she might get this from me! :)
I'm amazed everyday at the things she learns and remembers. I love this little girl and all of her cute Mya-isms!!

I made the bad decision to purchase these at the grocery store yesterday...
Their carmely, krispity, chocolatey goodness is too much to resist. Not to mention all the childhood memories that came rushing back as soon as I took my very first bite. Coming home from school and having a yummy star crunch waiting as an after school snack was always a welcomed treat.
Mya is enjoying her afternoon treat at this very moment and loving every minute of it! Like mother like daughter. :)
Oh, Little Debbie how do I love the? Let me count the ways!

Kissy kissy
Last week Mya and I had a lunch date with our friends Christy and Aedan. Aedan is just 4 months younger than Mya. They had so much fun playing, talking and running around together. They were really so cute together.
During our lunch they gave each other a smooch and it was so adorable! A lady was even walking by at the time and commented on how cute it was and how it made her day.
Since we didn't know it was going to happen we didn't get a picture of the first kiss. So we asked them to kiss again so we could document the moment and they politely obliged. :)
Awwwww!! So cute! :)
