Faces of Mya

Mya will be 10 months old on the 7th and she is getting so big (at her 9 month appointment she weighed 20 pounds and was 29 inches long) and she is so much fun! Lately she has really taken off with walking. She can now walk backwards (just a couple of steps but keeps her balance really well), walk in a circle, and she can change directions with ease. She can also bend over while standing pick up a toy and stand back up or squat then stand back up too! She is really a strong baby. She is quite the entertainer too. She loves to dance to music and clap to the beat. And she loves to talk! She babbles all day long and makes some pretty funny sounds when she "talks".
Here are some pics showing her sweet, funny and cute personality.

Mya and mommy

I tried out a new hairstyle on Mya - she has just barely enough hair for a teeny tiny ponytail on top of her cute little head!

Mya showing daddy she is "SO BIG".

This is Mya's newest face. She loves to stick her bottom lip up!

Giving us a little attitude!

Such a sweet baby!

Playing with her bunny.

Mya loves to rub noses and give kisses! Mommy loves this!

Ahhh, my little leprechaun!

Crazy hair!

Puckered lip attitude.

Now that's a cute smile!

9 months old and a couple of new discoveries

Mya recently turned 9 months old and she is getting so big! Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks.

Mya at 9 months old (and first time wearing shoes!! She didn't really know what to think of them and really only wanted to put them in her mouth.)

Mya at the park.

Discovering the stairs. I watched Mya crawl over by the stairs to check them out. I took her away from the stairs and tried to distract her with some toys. A few minutes later she went right back to the stairs and immediately started to climb! I couldn't believe that she figured out how to crawl up them so fast. It was like she had climbed them hundreds of times before. This kid amazes me every single day!!

Here she is playing with the doorstop. Who could resist the spiral shape, shiny color, and that silly sound they make? Who needs toys when you have doorstops all over the house! :)

Baby Steps!

Mya has really started to take off with her walking. I'm amazed at how well she can balance. The video below was taken when she first started to take steps. She is much improved since. (If you can't see the video you can go to my youtube site at youtube.com and search for mom2mya. You should be able to view them.)
